I was waking up with a painful neck and couldn't turn my head for the first few hours of the day for a few days so I decided to try this after browsing pillows on social media for neck pain.
To be honest I did not expect it to work as well as it did since I never even heard of the type, but after just one night of use I woke up the next morning with no pain at all. Its been around two months now and the pillow is holding its shape even when I fold it in half to watch TV lol. I've tried a similar shaped pillow to this one and it did not help at all, this one is just the perfect height for me but maybe YMMV.

My husband likes this pillow because it offers neck support. Nobody wants a hot pillow so it's nice that it is a cooling pillow. If you or the person you are buying this pillow for are sleepers that move around a lot, I would recommend buying a zipper pillowcase otherwise you will have to constantly adjust the pillow case.
